Thanks to Hampton Roads Times, it’s an honor to add the title ‘Blogger” to the list of ways people identify me. For the past few years I have been called “The Foodbank Guy,” “The Republican,” “The Progressive,” “That guy who does everything,” “That guy running for city council,” so now we will add “blogger” to all of this.
When considering what to write about, I figured I would keep it simple. Now most people who know me find that to be difficult for me, since they say I tend to over analyze and over think. Truth of it is, no matter what the issue is, I’m just trying to answer one question at the end of the day: “Is this making sense?”
Truth is, very little in our world does make sense. However, where will we find ourselves if we fail to ask that question? Well you will find a range of issues here. Ranging from community not-for-profits, small business concerns, local, state and national politics. That may seem wide ranging; however they are issues pertinent to my life. As a Board Member and Chairman of The Child Nutrition Council of The Foodbank of Southeastern VA, former Board Member of Hampton Roads Business OutReach, an lgbt business coalition, and a former political candidate and consultant, I have seen firsthand that there are plenty of opportunities to ask our question.
I hope you will join me here at the Hampton Roads Times to help me figure out if “This is Making Sense.”
